The MPX5010DP is a differential pressure sensor from NXP that outputs a voltage proportional to the applied pressure. The voltage is high level and linear, so it can be read by microcontrollers with integrated ADCs. It requires no external components, can be powered from a single power supply, and has an analog output.
Pin Number | Pin Name | Description |
1 | OUTPUT | Analog output proportional to differential pressure |
2 | GND | IC ground reference |
3 | VCC | IC supply pin |

The MPX5010DP is an integrated differential pressure sensor with a linear analog output, which can be easily interfaced with microcontrollers. The MPX5010DP comes in a non-standard package, resembling TO-3, but the pins stick out of the side. It also has two hose attachment points. The silicon die and the differential sensing element are packaged inside the plastic case and perform a differential measurement of the pressures between the two hose attachment points. The circuit inside converts the differential pressure to a single-ended voltage referenced to the ground. The transfer function is completely linear, as shown in the figure below.
The MPX5010DP is powered from a single supply voltage, and the analog output can be read from pin 1.
