Advanced Electrical Diagnostics and True RMS Accuracy
Designed to deliver high accuracy on complex electrical signals, the UT195M employs True RMS processing for both voltage and current measurements. This ensures exact readings when probing non-linear AC loads, variable speed drives, electronic ballasts, and switching power supplies. The meter incorporates a dedicated Low-Pass Filter (LPF) with a 1kHz cutoff frequency (3dB attenuation), allowing users to accurately measure fundamental voltage and frequency on variable frequency motor drives by filtering out high-frequency carrier interference.
Motor Phase Sequence and Ghost Voltage Testing
Optimized for motor drive maintenance and factory equipment troubleshooting, the UT195M features an intuitive 2-probe motor phase sequence testing mode. This enables technicians to confirm 3-phase rotational direction quickly without needing a standalone phase rotation meter. Furthermore, the meter offers a Low Impedance (LoZ) voltage mode that presents a lower load impedance across the test leads, effectively discharging stray coupling or ghost voltage on unenergized lines to prevent misleading readings.
High Performance Display and Comprehensive Measurements
The large 6000-count HTN LCD display updates 3 times per second and includes an integrated ambient light sensor that automatically activates the LCD backlight in low-light environments. Measurement capabilities include DC voltages up to 1000V, AC voltages up to 750V, AC and DC current up to 20A for 30-second intervals, resistance up to 60M ohm, capacitance up to 60mF, and frequency up to 40MHz. An integrated K-type thermocouple input measures temperatures from -40 to 1000 degrees Celsius (-40 to 1832 degrees Fahrenheit). A built-in high-output LED flashlight further enhances operator safety when working inside dark electrical cabinets.
