Kapton Tape 30mm x 33M - High Temperature Adhesive Tape

Kapton tape is made from polyimide plastic.  It has a very high heat resistance and is used as an electrical insulation tape where there are high temperatures.

Due to Kapton tape’s large range of temperature stability and electrical isolation ability, it is used during the manufacturing and final assembly of electronic components. This tape is a fantastic insulator, like electrical tape, but it can withstand temperatures as high as 258°C (496°F). It also provides good resistance to corrosion and the silicone adhesive holds tight throughout the tape's rated temperature range. This is a good choice for insulating components inside of an enclosure that might be subjected to extreme conditions.

ABS and Kapton adhere extremely well to one another, making Kapton tape a perfect 3D printing bed surface layer. It is usually applied to a glass or aluminium bed surface, where extruded ABS filament adheres to the surface.
