High-Precision Fluid Measurement Solution
The G1 Male Thread Water Flow Sensor is a robust, industrial-grade fluid monitoring device engineered for medium-to-high volume liquid measurement applications. Encased in a durable, high-impact polymer body, this sensor integrates an internal water turbine rotor, high-grade permanent magnets, and an encapsulated Hall-effect sensor electronics board. Designed to maintain structural integrity under fluid static pressures up to 1.75 MPa, it provides accurate real-time volumetric tracking for automated fluid control systems and process engineering setups.
Advanced Hall-Effect Sensing Mechanism
As liquid flows through the valve body, it drives the internal rotor to spin at an angular velocity directly proportional to the volumetric flow rate. Magnets embedded within the rotor sweep past the solid-state Hall-effect IC, producing a clean, digital square-wave pulse output. Operating across a versatile power supply range from DC 3.5V to 24V, the sensor delivers an NPN open-collector pulse frequency defined by the characteristic linear equation F = 1.08 * Q (where F is frequency in Hz and Q is flow rate in L/min) with a high measurement precision within +/- 3 percent tolerance.
Versatile Commercial and Industrial Applications
Featuring a broad operational range of 2 to 100 Liters per minute, this flowmeter excels across consumer, commercial, and industrial equipment. Typical use-cases include automated water dispensers, commercial coffee brewing machines, tankless water heaters, smart agricultural irrigation loops, liquid vending systems, credit-card-operated fluid dispensers, and HVAC hydronic coolant monitoring systems. Its symmetrical inline flow path supports both vertical and horizontal mounting configurations without sacrificing volumetric accuracy.
Wiring Topography and System Integration Guidelines
Connecting the sensor to microcontrollers, PLCs, or digital pulse counters is simple using its standard 3-wire color-coded interface. Red connects to positive supply voltage (DC 3.5V to 24V), Black connects to system ground (GND), and Yellow serves as the open-collector NPN pulse signal line. Integrating a standard pull-up resistor (4.7k to 10k ohms) between the signal wire and VCC ensures sharp pulse edge detection on digital interrupt pins, even in high-noise electrical environments across operating temperatures from -40C to +80C.
